WHAT'S MY BACKGROUND?
I've been singing professionally for more than ten years now, starting out as a high coloratura soprano (yes, even the Queen of the Night once upon a time), until finding my true voice as a mezzo. The majority of my formal training has been classical, but I've also learned to belt and now perform in a wide variety of styles, from Handel, Mozart and Rossini to musical theatre to jazz and pop. Recitals will always have a deeply special place in my heart.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
"I’ve had the privilege of composing significant solo parts for Emily in three major compositions; all I can say about those experiences is that every composer dreams of working with a singer who combines the beauty and quality of Emily’s instrument with the musical and emotional depth and intelligence of her interpretive skills."
— Jonathan Santore, Winner, The American Prize in Composition 2013 (Choral Division)
